Thai, oil or deep tissue — which should you book?

The three treatments people confuse most. What actually differs, who each suits, and how to choose the one that matches what you are feeling.

The most common question at our reception desk is "which one is better?". There is no better — only which one matches what you are actually feeling right now.

Thai massage — whole body, with stretching

No oil, loose clothing, pressure along the sen lines alternating with assisted joint stretches. Its strength is coverage plus the stretching that no other style includes. It suits anyone stiff all over from walking, standing or physical work, and anyone who feels tight when they twist or bend.

The advantage people forget: you can go straight on to whatever is next. No oil, no shower needed.

Aromatherapy oil massage — relaxation first

Scented oil and long continuous strokes rather than firm pressure. The aim is to settle the nervous system, not to dig out knots. It suits accumulated stress, difficulty falling asleep, and anyone who does not enjoy discomfort.

If the goal is "I want to sleep properly tonight", this is the most direct answer. If the goal is "my shoulder has a hard lump in it", oil massage alone usually is not enough.

Sen-line deep massage — straight at the tight spot

Deep, sustained pressure held on one point far longer than usual, using elbows and body weight. The aim is to release long-held knots. A dull ache at the knot is normal; bracing or holding your breath is not. If you get there, it is too firm — say so.

The result usually registers more clearly the next day than immediately, and a day or two of soreness afterwards is normal, much like after a hard workout.

Choose by what you are feeling

  • Stiff all over, restricted movement, want stretching → Thai massage
  • Stressed, sleeping badly, dislike discomfort → aromatherapy oil massage
  • Same chronic tight spot returning, lighter work does not reach it → sen-line deep massage
  • Neck and shoulder pain specifically from computer work → office syndrome massage
  • Very hard muscle, want heat to help → herbal compress

Still not sure

Just describe it, at the desk or on LINE: "sitting all day, hard lump in my right shoulder, headaches". That is enough for us to recommend something. Or if you would rather sample several things in one visit, the two-hour Baosabai package combines foot, Thai and oil massage — a lot of people use it to work out what they like.
